DID YOU KNOW?
The bi-monthly SPCA
Lifeline newsletter was first
published in 1984 to inform
the membership of SPCA
programs and services. Issues
of Lifeline are still published
today but only quarterly.
Volunteers are an indispensable asset to our organization. We truly could not do many of the things we do without such dedicated individuals. By becoming a volunteer with the SPCA, you have the ability to make life brighter for the animals, whether it be directly through each minute that you spend petting them, or outside of our facility by aiding in our fundraising efforts to provide the animals care that they so deserve.
Volunteer Requirements
  • 6 month commitment for 2 hours per week
  • 12 years old or older (ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older; adult must be an active volunteer, attend orientation with 12-15 year old and during all volunteer shifts, adult must supervise)
  • Possess customer service skills
  • Support the SPCA mission, principles and policies
  • $15 registration fee (due after acceptance into the program; covers t-shirt, name badge and volunteer manual printing)
If you are a student looking for short-term or flexible community service hours and know that you cannot commit to at least 6 months with us, please consider taking part in a donation drive for our animals or a research report. Please contact us at 863/646-7722 for more information.
